Mother's day

Today is Mothers day... The chance we get to tell our mothers how we feel about them, and hopefully that is mostly good feelings :) so here it goes.

I will start with my mom (duh moment)

sorry, those who read my blog regularly have seen this pic, sadly it is the only one I have at the moment

I am so thankful for the friendship I have with my mom these days! As most who know me know that I didn't have the best relationship with her while growing up, I must have been too much like her :) After I became a mother myself I relied on her knowledge heavily, sometimes too much, I will never forget the first time I made my own Dr. appointment I called her and told her I did it! That was after I was married for a few months :) She has been a rock in my struggles with raising my own kids. I cant remember how to bake potatoes (temp and how long) to this day and I think it is because I don't have to, I can call her!
I want her to know how proud I am at her taking charge of her life and future! The challenges and struggles she has over come and has yet to face, felt and may feel insurmountable but she has made it so far and I have faith she will continue on the path she has chosen! I love her so much and am so glad I can call her Mother!

Now my other Mother (the dreaded in-law that wasn't)

I am one of the lucky ones to have a great mother in law! I know those who the only thing nice they can say about their MIL is that she gave birth to their future spouse... while I appreciate this in my MIL it is not the only thing. She has also been a rock in my motherhood. She has done so much to help Kevin and I succeed in our adventures in parenting! I want to thank her and hope she knows how I feel about her too.

I am one lucky mother myself!
I have been blessed by my Heavenly Father with two wonderful examples of things I want to be.
He has also blessed me with the greatest gift in the universe, to be a mother to 4 of his wonderful spirits! I couldn't be more blessed with my children, they are the light of my life and really good to boot :)

I always wanted to be a mother and am so happy that is what I became.

Happy Mothers Day
to all the Mothers (and the maternal minded) who might be reading this!
